What Is the CATLINK Luxury Pro?
The CATLINK Luxury Pro is a self-cleaning litter box designed for multi-cat households and larger breeds. Its oversized drum accommodates cats up to 22 pounds, and it can distinguish between different cats based on weight — tracking each one’s litter box habits individually. After each visit, the drum rotates to sift waste into a sealed compartment below.
Design & Build
The Luxury Pro is big. At roughly 27 x 23 x 26 inches and 28 pounds, this isn’t a litter box you’ll be moving around. Plan a permanent spot with enough clearance for the large entry opening and room to pull out the waste drawer.
Build quality is solid — thick plastic construction with a smooth interior that’s easy to wipe down. The large circular entry has no flap or door, which large and senior cats appreciate. No squeezing or ducking to get inside.
Cleaning Performance
The sifting mechanism works well. After your cat exits, the unit waits a configurable delay (5-60 minutes), then the drum rotates slowly. Clumped litter falls through a grate into the waste drawer while clean litter stays in the drum. The rotation is smooth and quieter than we expected.
We had no jams or failed cycles during our six-week test, even with two cats using it daily. The sifting grate handles standard and large clumps without issue, though you need a quality clumping litter — cheap clay brands don’t form tight enough clumps and can crumble through.
Multi-Cat Recognition
The CATLINK uses its weight sensor to identify which cat is using the box. After a calibration period of about a week, it reliably distinguished our 9 lb cat from our 14 lb cat and logged their visits separately. The app shows each cat’s frequency, duration, and weight trends over time.
This is genuinely useful health data. Changes in litter box frequency are an early warning sign for UTIs, kidney issues, and other feline health problems. Having it logged automatically for each cat individually is something most competitors don’t offer.
Odor Control
The sealed waste drawer does a good job containing smell. A carbon filter in the lid adds another layer. In normal use (two cats, drawer emptied weekly), odor was minimal — noticeable only when opening the drawer to change the bag. The sealed design is noticeably better than open-tray self-cleaners.
App Experience
The CATLINK app is functional but not polished. It shows usage data, lets you trigger manual cleaning, and sends notifications when the waste bin is full. But it’s slow to sync, occasionally crashes, and the interface feels dated compared to PETKIT or Litter-Robot apps. It works — it’s just not a pleasure to use.
The Verdict
The CATLINK Luxury Pro is the best self-cleaning litter box for households with large cats or multiple cats. The spacious drum, individual tracking, and quiet operation make daily life easier. The app needs work and the price is steep, but if your cats are too big for standard automatic boxes, the CATLINK delivers where it matters most.
