What We Loved

The 360° rotation changes everything. Previous pet cameras gave you one fixed angle. The Furbo 360 tracks movement automatically — when our dog walked across the room, the camera followed. No more staring at an empty frame.

Bark alerts with context are smart. Instead of just “your dog barked,” the app shows a 30-second clip of what happened before and after. Was it the mailman? A squirrel? You can see immediately.

Treat tossing is still magic. Our dog learned within 2 days that the Furbo clicking sound means a treat is coming. It’s genuine interactive play when you’re away. The tossing mechanism holds about 100 small treats.

Video quality is genuinely excellent. Sharp 1080p during the day, and the night vision is clear enough to see if your dog is actually on the couch (they are).

What Could Be Better

The subscription is pushy. Without Furbo Dog Nanny ($6.99/month), you lose person alerts, activity zones, and cloud history. The camera works without it, but you’ll see constant upsell prompts.

Treat size is limited. Only small, round treats work reliably. Anything irregularly shaped jams the mechanism. We had 2 jams in a month with appropriately-sized treats.

It’s tall. At 8.8 inches, it’s not subtle on a shelf. If aesthetics matter, factor that in.

The subscription is annoying but the free tier is still functional. At $199, it’s not cheap — but nothing else combines this many features this well.
